Upcoming Workshops

Calling all California Natives (ages 16-24) who are invested in Indigenous language reclamation, revitalization, and strengthening efforts! You are invited to apply to the inaugural Young Advocates Cohort, hosted by the Advocates for Indigenous California Language Survival (AICLS) and the Youth Leadership Development Committee (YLDC). Beginning February 2026, Young Advocates will meet monthly to share language learning and teaching resources, exercise community building and peer networking, and engage in media content creation. The Young Advocates will be supported in pursuing a media project of their own. Participants of all regions will gather for a culminating conference in the spring, hosted by YLDC. Travel assistance will be provided. This program requires a commitment of attending three online sessions and two in person sessions.
